John Gutierrez

John Gutierrez, Executive Director of SoCal Corporate Growth Partners (SCCGP), has had a successful career spearheading business development in minority business communities. John presently serves as the Executive Director for SCCGP, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Southern California.
John has over 30 years of managerial and professional experience with national residential/commercial leading companies and international real estate development. John has been a consultant to small business owners and empowers them through education, technical, and implementation techniques. He is driven by passion and a sincere desire to provide measurable economic impact to small business communities, enhancing their technical and management skills to effectively compete for procurement and export opportunities.
John brought with him over 18 years of experience in economic development, as he has taken on the role as the Executive Director for So Cal Corporate Growth Partners (SCCGP) in 2020. He oversaw the 2020 Pasadena MBDA CARES Act Program and 2021 Coronavirus Response and Relief Program. These two programs coincide with the Pasadena MBDA Business Center. (At the time the Organization operated the Pasadena MBDA Business Center, this center funded by U.S. Department of Commerce).
Prior to his most recent position, John was the Senior Business Consultant at the Pasadena MBDA business Center in Pasadena, California. His devotion was assisting clients with access to capital and contracts. John’s expertise led to performance above goals and objective. His contributions brought success to the business center with awarded transactions for over $100 million in capital and $100 million in contracts.
Prior to joining MBDA Business Center Pasadena, he was a business consultant for MBDA Business Center in Los Angeles, operated by the University of Southern California for over nine years.
John continues as the Executive Director to provide one-on-one specific and technical assistance to potential clients in building capacity for small minority-owned businesses to effectively enhance their technical and management skills to compete for procurement and export opportunities— local, State, GSA, Federal (8A) Certification, loan packaging and financial management.
John has also made significant contributions through his volunteer work. John has done volunteer work since 2002. John has served abroad independently partnering with faith-based organizations and also through an organization called Works of Power. His volunteerism was in Christian missionary work, spreading the gospel and offering training. Similarly, he has volunteered in local Southern California communities by visiting Skid Row to host a food drive for the community.

Established in 1999 John R. Perry Is the first minority owner of collection & credit in Arizona with A+ rating with the BBB. John R Perry started E-service Incorporated as a service-related company to work with many businesses in Arizona from Health Care, Automotive, Veterinarians, Financial Organizations, attorneys & personal credit. John R. Perry has helped recover and create millions of dollars for our client(s) in the last 25 years. We have created may programs to help business owners run their businesses for maximum efficiency by creating many well know programs that are currently being used throughout the United States. Our Brand of working with businesses to create by-laws, business plans, flow charts, business I.Q., business format of structure, profitability reports and generation of cash flow. In 2021, we started working with AZHCC to help business owners expand their businesses by providing case by case solutions for additional capital.

Onni R. Perry

Onni R. Perry started working with E-Service Inc. when he was 16 years old to present. E-Service Inc. deals with collections and credit in the state of Arizona, with an A+ rating from the BBB.

Onni R. Perry started working with E-Service Inc. in the middle of August 2016. Onni Perry has worked up from a general clerical worker to a Jr. Executive. Starting with data entry, credit reporting, accounting, management, planning & processing, as well as working on repairing credit for individuals and businesses, and learning day to day operations as John Perry’s right hand Jr. Executive. Onni has worked with John closely since 2021 on business plans, business credit repair, personal credit repair, business flow charts, & presentations. Onni has assisted in creating and implementing different processes for businesses as well as E-Service Incorporated. Onni was also brought in to assist with the AZHCC Capital Readiness program as an intake E-Agent specialist.

Stacey Wooden

Stacey Wooden has been working as a project manager and service liaison between customers, sales, and multiple production platforms for the last 28 years. She works directly with clients to develop an overall plan to coordinate the production of client documents, electronic Security and Exchange Commission filings and print production to achieve the objectives of the service agreement in compliance of customer expectations, company policy along with profit and quality requirements. Stacey originally joined the E-Service sales department but recently transitioned to the client service division to assistance in the AZHCC Capital Readiness program. Together with John Perry, we will create specialized programs to assist business to continue to grow and create capital through the Capital Readiness program.

Monica Villalobos

Ms. Villalobos was named President & CEO of the Arizona Hispanic Chamber in late 2019 after serving as the Vice-President and Foundation Executive Director for seven years. In this role, she is responsible for the strategic growth initiatives of the chamber. She is also the operator of the Arizona Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) Business Center, the Native American Business and Economic Development Center (NABEDC), and Ascend Phoenix funded by JP Morgan Chase Foundation. Her background and experience as a corporate marketing executive and as an entrepreneur result in a unique combination of skill and talent.

She is also Editor-In-Chief of 23 research publications over the last ten years including the annual DATOS: State of Arizona’s Hispanic Market (2012-2020), DATOS Tucson (2012- 2015), Minority-, Women-, Hispanic-, Family-owned Business Enterprise Reports (2012- 2013, 2022) and the AZ Supplier Diversity (2012), Employee Resource Group (2013), Sustainability (2014), Global Trade (2015), Minority Business Economic Indicator (2017-18) and Diversity & Inclusion (2021) Best Practices white paper series Ms. Villalobos was the founding principal at ResearchByDesign, a marketing research firm specializing in primary qualitative and quantitative research. She worked closely with client partners to develop category specific studies as the foundation for marketing strategy decision-making.

Sarai Borja Nevarez

Sarai Borja Nevarez serves as the Coordinator of Office and Executive Services at the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (AZHCC). Sarai oversees office communication, the board of directors, office supplies, organizing meetings, and managing schedules. Sarai wants to help connect small businesses with the right people and resources that will help them reach their highest potential.

Sarai is a proud first-generation student, recently obtaining her Bachelor of Business Administration with a Minor in Worship Arts in December of 2022. She plans to continue her education by pursuing a master’s in business and possibly internationally. Sarai is looking to dive into international business and learn how business outside the U.S. run.

Elizabeth Flores

Elizabeth Flores serves as the Director of Programming at the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (AZHCC). Elizabeth oversees all aspects of events, business programs, and marketing campaigns for the chamber. She is dedicated to creating impactful ways to connect businesses, promote growth opportunities, and foster success within the Arizona small business community. With over 5 years of experience at the chamber, Elizabeth is always willing to lend a hand to new startups and entrepreneurs to reach their highest potential.

Elizabeth is a proud first-generation student, recently obtaining her Master of Business Administration with an Emphasis in Marketing degree from Grand Canyon University in October 2022. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management degree, with a minor in Special Events Management from Arizona State University. Elizabeth is committed to the success of the chamber by collaborating with stakeholders to increase brand awareness and resources available to help members succeed.

Outside her professional endeavors, Elizabeth enjoys trying out new things and exploring new restaurants or small shops. She is also passionate about traveling and learning about different cultures and their history. Elizabeth believes in the importance of cultural exchange to foster understanding and collaboration with others. She also enjoys spending time and going on walks with her pet dog, Sparky.

Kayla Fornseca

Kayla Fonseca is a Bay Area native who calls Arizona home. She is the daughter of immigrants, mother of two and a proud wife. A first-generation professional who values public service and uplifting her Latino community. She is an advocate of education for all – having over ten years of experience in Higher Education, mentoring emerging leaders and elevating spaces of diversity and inclusion and Dreamer voices. Kayla holds a Master of Science in Leadership from Grand Canyon University and is passionate about the advancement of minority and small business owners and seeks to provide avenues of success and generational wealth for all. Kayla is also an active member in the faith-based community and leads many projects at her local church.

As the new Manager of Corporate Partnerships at the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Kayla seeks to enhance the growth and success of the Los Amigos Corporate Partnership Program by meeting the needs and goals of industries looking to connect and serve our Hispanic-owned businesses. Kayla is genuinely passionate about fostering meaningful and mutually beneficial relationships with corporate partners and committed to driving the success of our partnerships to new heights while exploring new opportunities that strengthen alliances between the communities they serve.

Carmen G. Martinez Barrios is a innovative designer who has more than 20 years of progressive experience in graphic design. She began her career in Hermosillo, Sonora, MX, working with multiple mediums and has significant experience in applying her detailed knowledge of business and management principles to direct art and design national advertising campaigns for a varied list of clients.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Northwest University, Hermosillo, Sonora MX in November 1999. Not only is she licensed in the field of Graphic Design, she was awarded the Licensed Graphic Designer title by the Mexican Secretary of Public Education on May 17, 2000. She has also taken several courses toward a Masters in Business Administration.

Carmen has also been the Master Designer for the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce since 2011. In her new role as VP, Brand Management, she is responsible for building and managing the brand strategy, positioning, voice, media and execution. She has created and developed the design and concept for the Chamber’s most important events during this period: DATOS, The Black & White Ball and Business Awards, Business Diversity Summit, Membership Package, DATOS Tucson Luncheon, Health Fair, AZHCC Empowerment Series, Extension Logos. Her remarkable work for the Chamber includes but is not limited to programs, signage, banners, menus, place cards, power point presentations and more.

Adrienne Perez

Adrienne Perez was born and raised in Tucson, AZ. Her family history is rooted in both the United States and México, as her grandfather was born in Hermosillo, Sonora, and immigrated to the US at a young age. She comes from a tight-knit family, with both parents also born and raised in Tucson. She has two younger sisters and is overjoyed to be a Tía to two beautiful nieces. She is honored to be the first in her immediate family to earn a bachelor's and master's degree. She completed her undergraduate studies at The University of Arizona, and then pursued her graduate degree online from Northern Arizona University.

Throughout her career, she has developed a strong passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and Latinx representation both in business and higher education. She has worked in various fields, including Sports Marketing, Higher Education and most recently Real Estate. Her journey following undergrad led her to work for the Arizona Diamondbacks in Ticket Operations. She later transitioned to The University of Arizona, Eller College of Management where she served as Sports Management Career Coach and Diversity Coordinator. Continuing her commitment to DEI, she worked at The University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix. She has the privilege of working with Major League Baseball during the All-Star Game each summer. Additionally, she enjoys attending fitness classes, particularly hot yoga and HIIT boxing.

In her new role as Marketing and Operations Manager at the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (AZHCC), she will assist in the daily operations of the AZHCC team by creating and implementing new policies. In addition, she will focus on digital marketing by managing social media accounts and representing the AZHCC mission, values and brand. She will also focus on increasing brand awareness and creating content to engage more of the Latinx community in Arizona. Adrienne accepted this role at AZHCC because she is passionate about elevating the Latinx community and providing resources to underserved communities. She is committed to creating impactful marketing strategies that resonate with the Latinx community and understands the importance of cultural representation and the power of inclusive marketing.
